General Contracting

THE CHALLENGE
General Contracting (GC) is one of the more traditional delivery methods, but it requires a specialized approach. Regardless of whether the project is overseen by an in-house team or an external project management firm, the key objective is to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate multiple agencies so the final workspace complies with regulations and meets quality standards.

OUR APPROACH
We tackle this complexity with a straightforward method: simplify the project cycle by prioritizing detailed planning and clear communication. This involves coordinating with multiple agencies, sequencing the tasks for different vendors at each stage, and closely monitoring their execution to ensure everything aligns with the overall project schedule.

LIVE EXAMPLE
Recently, a client needed 100,000 square feet of interior space to be completed within just five months. The scope included C&I, Electricals, HVAC, Security, BMS, FAPA, imported furniture, and carpeting, among other requirements.

As an international financial technology company, the client also required five mission-critical rooms and two UPS rooms to be ready in the very first phase. These spaces had to be kept entirely dust-free—an extremely difficult challenge in a large, active construction environment.

To solve this, our team devised a creative plan: we began construction from the inside out, completing the Server and UPS rooms first, then moving outward to finish the rest. This approach not only allowed us to meet the tight timeline but also ensured the client’s exact requirements were achieved. Since then, we have successfully delivered several more projects for this client using the same strategy.
